Job Description:

Your role

  • Perform documentation deliverables for inventories (report / EUC / manual processes), priority reports, Risk measures and data elements including lineage, report specifications for BAU and crisis reports; ensuring high quality of documentation in a level of detail
  • Proven experience in collaborating closely with technology partners to implement data strategy and remediation
  • Solid experience in gap assessment, root cause analysis, data investigation (drill down and drill through), etc.
  • Ability to quickly read and understand a variety of documents related to data governance including but not limited to policy, control framework, data lineage, etc.
  • Engage to different credit related projects and system implementation, such as credit scoring, credit/limit management system. Implement new initiatives aiming to deliver best features and usability in mobile service for both online and offline
  • Experience in data gathering via surveys, interviews, data mining, etc.
  • Experience at managing large amounts of information under tight deadlines during the data gathering stage
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into a comprehensive list of gaps.
  • Ability to lead without authority and exercise excellent disposition to work effectively across Business to meet tight deadlines
  • Enhance different business line analytics capability, such as measure limits utilization and other risk parameters set down by the Board
  • Perform measurement of risk exposures (both on and off balance sheet) for management information in according to different regulatory or management requirements
  • Preparing risk analysis, MIS reports to management based on different dimensions on an on-going basis
  • Reviewing and constantly improving the current risk measurement, analytics and reporting process; manage and implement change and work closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Work with internal business stakeholders, IT and Application Development Team to define product feature and function specifications
  • Manage the product development lifecycle with multiple stakeholders from initiative to post-implementation
  • Others:

    - Train and develop team and support needs from other departments related to risk managementPromote and implement the risk analytics and data-driven approach to expand and explore for the new business segment

    - Provide recommendation to senior executive for any potential problems & risks adhere to existing operation work flow and policies

    - Participate into the new product approval (NPA) process

    - Support needs from other stakeholders related to risk management

    - Ad hoc task as assigned by supervision


To succeed in this role

  • University degree in Data Management, Risk Management, Statistics, Finance or related discipline or related qualification is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' of relevant experience, preferably with banking or money lenders experience and knowledge
  • Have good knowledge of data analysis by using SAS / SQL programming, Qlik / Tableau and excel (VBA) skill, Data Management capacity
  • Keen interest in startup environment, fintech trends and sound knowledge of banking and financial products
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholders management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great sense of ownership, self-motivated, work independently as well as being a good team player; Multi-tasked and able to work under tight timelines
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
