PCCW's Unihub unveils two-factor authentication service for online bankingCITIC Ka Wah Bank adopted Unihub's OneKey authentication service

Hong Kong, June 21, 2005 - PCCW Limited subsidiary Unihub Limited (Unihub) today announced that CITIC Ka Wah Bank (the "Bank") has adopted its highly sophisticated and secure authentication service to protect banking customers engaging in online banking transactions.

With the introduction of Unihub's OneKey employing state-of-the-art security technologies, the Bank's Internet banking customers will receive double protection by being assured that not only is their e-Cert verified but that the website they have logged onto is legitimate. The procedure effectively minimizes online banking fraud.

He said that Unihub's OneKey solution is an innovative application that is certain to boost e-Cert use throughout the community as it is easy to use and offers greatly enhanced security functions. As an example, he noted that Unihub had assisted Hongkong Post with the incorporation of e-Cert into smart ID cards. In this way, an information infrastructure is being built up that will increasingly provide the public and private sectors with the opportunity to introduce numerous innovative and value-added applications.
