HONG KONG, October 5, 2010 – PCCW Solutions, a subsidiary of Hong Kong's premier telecommunications provider, PCCW Limited, announces today its home-grown Logistics Management System and SENSE RFID middleware solution (“SENSE”) implemented for Collezione Wine Cellars have won two Certificates of Merit in the HK RFID Awards 2010. SENSE has also helped Kerry Logistics score a silver award in Best EPC/RFID Implementation and a bronze award in Most Innovative Use of EPC/RFID.
The objectives of the HK RFID Awards, organized by the GS1 Hong Kong, are to recognize pioneering enterprises that have successfully brought EPC/RFID (Electronic Product Code/Radio Frequency Identification) technologies into business operation, to encourage the adoption of EPC/RFID technologies by businesses in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region, and to foster the development of new EPC/RFID products and services.
